Ginu George

Ginu George co-founded SYNE after 25 years spent inside the institutions the platform now serves - global professional services firms, enterprise technology companies, and one of Australia's largest retail banks. His career spans Ernst & Young and Deloitte Australia in advisory and consulting roles across risk, capital markets and sustainability; Dell Inc., where he worked across global supply chains and large-scale technology operations; and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he built his understanding of banking and financial services from the inside.

That vantage point - across Big Four consulting, capital markets, supply chains and banking - shaped a conviction that climate risk and financial risk are ultimately the same problem, viewed from different departments, and that neither would be taken seriously as a discipline until sustainability data was verified with the same rigour as a balance sheet.

Ginu holds a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Computer Science, a Master's in Journalism and Communication, and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Futures Studies, alongside management studies at IIM Bangalore and advanced studies at IISc Bangalore. He is a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), holding a Master of Professional Accounting.

His PhD research became the founding methodology behind two of SYNE's core products - SYNE Climate Risk Management and Enterprise Sustainability. Rather than submitting the thesis, Ginu chose to convert the underlying models and frameworks directly into the platform's risk-scoring and disclosure methodology - the same discipline now running continuously across every customer's data, instead of sitting in a single unpublished paper.

As Chief Executive Officer, Ginu sets direction across SYNE's three layers - products, solutions and the carbon delivery pipeline - holding the platform to the same standard of evidence he spent two decades applying to audit, risk and transformation engagements for some of the world's largest financial institutions and industrial companies.
